Jan Korthals sat at his chair painting the painter…….artist, Theo Swagemakers. Captured by Kortals in his eminent impressionist style from a photograph of the artists taken at the The Swagemakers Museum in Haarlem, Netherlands.

Korthals' style was strongly influenced by his great role models, George Hendrik Breitner and Marie Henri Mackenzie. The later being his uncle.

Jan Korthals original works have gained further momentum & popularity in recent years, with some pieces realising large sums of money at the widely known Christies & Bonhams fine art auction houses. For this reason these original works may also be looked on as investable opportunity.

Condition is excellent, retaining good depth of colour. Minor wear to frame.
