Phil Rogers (1951-2020) A highly impressive stoneware slab vase of diamond form with bottle neck and flared lip, with segmented blue textured areas and painted floral motif. circa 1980. Initialled ‘PR’ seal mark to base.

The aesthetics are matched by the tactile nature of the potters’ work.
Phil Rogers was a Welsh studio potter who has written and been featured in a number of books on studio pottery. He worked at Lower Cefnfaes Farms’ Marston Pottery from 1984 until his death in 2020 and previously in Rhayader, Powys, Wales, from 1978 to 1984.
Rogers’ work is represented in more than forty museums worldwide, including the permanent collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
