A lovely rustic & vernacular antique elm wood handled dough bowl, originally hand carved from a single piece of elm in the 19th century. Probably used by the servants in the scullery of an estate house for preparing dough and sometimes later used as animal feeders. Wonderfully aged and full of historic charm. Fill with champagne and wine for an exclusive look.
Condition: Wear is commensurate with its age and use. Solid, robust and fully functional. Wonderfully patinated with all the dings, dents and scars associated with a bowl of this nature.
