19th Century Victorian Scrumbled Pine Chest of Drawers

19th Century Victorian Scrumbled Pine Chest of Drawers

£515.00

A superb 19th century, late Victorian scumbled pine chest of two short over three graduating long drawers. Each dovetail jointed drawer retains its original brass lock and bronzed copper drop swing handles and pulls out to reveal solid timber liners to the carcass, showing the added craftsmanship carried out. The whole piece flanked by reeded column supports (that compliment the drawer front detailing) and displays a raised and curved skirt plinth to both front and sides.

The aesthetics are evident here to this well-proportioned chest. Rich in colour and in grain with a super build up of age related wear. This was one of two chests that we were lucky enough to source from a local artists workshop, hence the consistent patination to the top and gorgeous overall appearance.

Condition: Strong, robust and fully functional. All drawers run smoothly and are exceptionally clean inside as they were protected with paper liners. All the dings, nicks or scars associated with a good working piece of furniture and that gives it the wonderful character you see hear.

Measurements: Height: 123cm Width: 107cm Depth: 47cm Measurements are inclusive of top overhang.
