Mid-century Librenza G-Plan Cabinet / Room Divider
The iconic G-Plan Librenza cocktail cabinet / room divider, designed by Ebenezer Gomme, manufactured between the 1950s and 60s. The high quality construction, made up of teak and tola wood with contrasting sections of ebonised and lacquered shelving and doors.
The floating cupboard to the top enclosed by two sliding and contrasting coloured doors with inset gilt brass pull handles. The lower large cupboard consisting of two dovetail jointed drawers. One of which has a sliding accessory divider and stamped E. Gomme for G-Plan, the guarantee of good design, good construction and finish. To the right side a drop down slide door opens to reveal a spacious shelved area. The cabinet all raised on tapered and ebonised legs with adjustable gilt brass feet. There is no hanging or floating accessory section with this cabinet.
This cabinet was designed to the same high standard both front and back giving the flexibility to be used as a room divider or up against a wall.

Condition: Solid, robust & fully functional. Wear is commensurate with its age and use. Wear / marks are mostly to the main surface top and have been polished in for lesser visibility. Some wear to gilt brass handles & feet.
