A simply stunning early 20th century twelve drawer oak railways cabinet. Circa 1910. The construction along with proportions are exceptional with solid oak timbers throughout. The top shows beautifully engineered & exposed dovetail jointing. The drawers are weighty and are of absolute quality craftsmanship with each bearing a pair of heavy gauge brass pull handles and two index name plates inscribed GWR (Great Western Railways). Internally, each drawer has a central divider giving two sectional storage. These can be removed. The back and sides are panelled and fielded to effectively complete the look of this striking piece of furniture.
Condition & Notes: Wonderfully aged and rich in colour, this extremely versatile piece has patinated beautifully through the years and showing the type of age related wear associated with a fully functional working piece of furniture.
