A Large & Impressive, mid 20th century ten drawer architects plans/maps chest, circa 1960s. Constructed of oak, in two sections of five drawers for ease of portability. Each drawer with beautifully engineered recessed & shaped pull handles and brass notation slides. Displaying a striking and quite possibly original red vinyl top. Some dealers or clients may decide to strip this back to reveal its timber top surface but i consider this to be its major selling point and a look that i personally try hard to hunt down. All raised on a plinth base and ready to go.

Golden oak and beautifully patinated with various dings or scars, this true, honest and stunning looking chest shows up extremely well.

Condition: Absolutely solid, robust & fully functional. Very clean drawers. Missing two notation slides. Wear is commensurate with its age. Overall a superb piece!
