A classy early twentieth century chinoiserie table lamp, circa 1920s. This all original lamp on a wonderfully turned and knopped black lacquered or japanned column and circular wooden base has hand painted and gilded decoration along with a stunning and intricately raised figural scene in silk. The lamp also shows original bakelite thumb switch with a good and deliberate on off action along with authentic gold braided electrical flex. Comes PAT tested.
The strong deep yellow silk shade included.
Condition: Only minor wear commensurate with age. Overall superb!
