'Dugdills' Vintage Articulated Floor Desk Lamp
'Dugdills' Vintage Articulated Floor Desk Lamp
A truly stunning example of an early 20th century articulated task lamp by Dugdills of Stockport, circa 1940. The cast and stamped circular base bearing the iconic ‘Dugdills Patent’ in raised lettering. This is the rare two arm, three knuckle type model, lending itself well to the versatility of floor standing or desk/table top placement. The original enamel shade, a very dark green/blue, almost ebony in certain light. Comes with a three metre length of authentic earthed flex for ease of use. This cracking lamp comes to market in its original unrestored condition and has wear only commensurate with age and use. The pictures shown here are a good indication as to its overall condition.
The lamp can be used without mounting in a number of positions as seen here (not fixed to base) but to gain its full range of movement & potential you may opt for mounting. Has the added benefit to be used as a wall light.
Measurements: Height Max: (from base to brass fitting at rear of shade) 125cm With shade facing upward : 140cm. Height Min:: Can be angled down to desired height. Diameter of base: 12.5cm
