An impressive antique pine shipwright’s tool chest, travel trunk with carrying handles and original lock and key, dating to the early 20th century. This well-crafted chest with an old dark stain exterior has realized a lovely crackle aged finish through the years and bears a brass nameplate - G.D.Neve. The hinged lid opens up to reveal an interior fitted with an arrangement of variable sized and removable storage compartment trays that are all dovetail jointed and sit neatly above the sizable storage void. All this with the added benefit of having its original key which is virtually unheard of with a trunk of this age.

Condition: Wear is commensurate with its age. Solid, robust and fully functional. Opens and closes smoothly and locks snugly and deliberately into place. Wax polish finish.
